Big Time Shopping in Hawaii !!

We've looked at houses on the north Kona coast.
We've looked at houses on the south Kona coast.
We've looked at new houses.
We've looked at old houses.
It's been fun and exhausting.
I've narrowed it to 3 choices -- what they all have in common are awesome views of the ocean.

House 1: Close to Kona town in the Keauhou area. Immaculately maintained. End of a cul-du-sac. Guest area has a fully equipped kitchen, laundry, and the same awesome views as the main house.

House 2: Five acres in the south Kona area near Kealakekua Bay. Packed with beautiful coffee, fruit, and flowering trees. Even a stand of gorgeous rainbow eucalyptus. The guest house is large and old funky Hawaiian style with structural ohia posts holding up high ceilings. Both the house and guest cottage would need serious makeovers - but the price allows for that.

House 3: Five acres of Disneyland-quality landscaping, 5-year old house with high-end modern features, and here's the coolest thing - the guest house is a huge yurt. It's absolutely gorgeous. You'd fine ME sleeping there whenever it rains. It has a fully equipped kitchen and bath and gorgeous views from the lanai. And you could tell your mainland friends that you stayed in a yurt in Hawaii.

So, dear friends, that's my report. Tomorrow I'm heading up to Waikoloa to make sure there's nothing up there that appeals to me.

Tonight, I'm creating a spreadsheet with a ranking method for comparing these houses.

You are welcome to vote for your favorite!

Aloha y'all!
